Yasmine Galenorn:

I've got a lot of changes to tell you about.

First, I had an interview come out with MediaBlvd and there's a giveaway attached to both the interview (via the site) and my own giveaway.  For information see Media Blvd, and my Live Journal site.  By the way: anybody can post to my LJ site--anonymous posters, included.  Their giveaway ends on September 15th, mine ends on September 22nd at 8:46 AM (the Autumn Equinox).

I've got the new book video up for Night Huntress.  I've got it posted on my MySpace page, and in a higher and lower meg version at YouTube.  I had great fun making it and send out kudos to my buddies Andrew Marshall, Phoenix Blue, and my husband Samwise for starring in it.

Thanks to Justine Greene, president of my Facebook Fan Page there will soon be an official Yasmine Galenorn Fan Club--appropriately called the Moon Stalkers Fan Club: www.moonstalkers.com  We're hoping to see this open by October 1st.  Keep watch on the FB fan page and the site itself for more information.

I moved my website to a new host and so now there are going to be changes on the site.  I will be closing my WP blog on my personal site since the majority of people either use MySpace or Live Journal--and since everyone can comment on my LJ blog, after my giveaway is done in mid September, I'll be shutting down the WP blog.

And our kitties have their own URL:  www.galenorngurlz.com and we'll be re-vamping their website soon.  The Witchy Chicks also now have a website: www.witchychicks.com which should be up and running in a few months.  You can find links to all the WC women there now, and the link to our blog is there.

Samwise's and my private Green Wood site has shifted both name and URL: www.foxgloveglade.com and will be open as soon as we are able to revamp it.

As far as writing, I'm working on Bone Magic right now.  Night Huntress (book 5) will be out in January 2009 and is available for pre-order at Amazon.com, and Demon Mistress (book 6) is scheduled for a July 2009 release.

Annie Solomon:

It's DEAD CERTAIN
For all those asking, I've got a title and a release date for my next book. DEAD CERTAIN will be out next May. I hope you'll agree with me that it's worth the wait! If you like a heroine full of fire and pluck who doesn't take guff from anyone, you'll love Edie Swan. On a trip down Memory Lane to avenge her father's death, Edie is caught in her own deadly trap by a killer who knows her every move…almost before she does.

BLACKOUT GOES AUDIO
I'm thrilled to announce that the audio book of my RITATM-winning novel is complete. I had an amazing time sitting in on the recording sessions. For lots more on that, including pictures, check out my website. And if you want to hear how it all came out, you can rent or buy a copy at Recorded Books

And don't forget to ask your local librarian to purchase a copy for the library!

Signs and Portents
This fall I have several speaking/signing events lined up. Check the website for details as they become available.

Susan Wiggs:

Finally, I can stop holding my breath! Just Breathe has had a long and winding road to publication, and I'm grateful to readers everywhere for their patience. Now I'm proud to say the book is finally in stores, with an official release date of August 26. This is a story straight from the heart about one woman's shattered dreams...and newfound hopes. Comic strip artist Sarah Moon discovers that unexpected change can be like a breath of fresh air—a little brisk at first, but magic for body and soul....

Luanne Rice, one of my favorite authors, gave it this review: "JUST BREATHE is tender and heartbreaking, the story of what happens when you lose what you thought was love. But Susan Wiggs looks deeper and follows her character to something so much better, the discovery of her own true heart and her real true love. It's a beautiful novel." Deepest thanks to Luanne for the early read. Thanks to independent booksellers everywhere for selecting the book for the September "Indie Next" list.

One of my favorite aspects of this novel is something I can take very little credit for—the eponymous comic strip. Each section of the book is introduced by one of Sarah's syndicated comics. I wrote the text of the strip, but the pictures were drawn by my publisher's creative art director, Sean Kapitain, and they look absolutely authentic to me, like something you'd see in the funny pages.

Big exhale. The wait is over. I hope you like Just Breathe.

Keri Arthur:

More Writing News

Deadly Desire has moved into the line editing stage, and everything is on track for the March release. There's no word yet on the title for the 8th book, but the current working titles are A Killer's Kiss, Death's Seduction, and Hunted Heart. I'm leaning towards title number one, but we'll see what the powers that be at Bantam say. Of course, they may hate all three and I'll have to think of something else. J

Mercy Burns, the sequel to Destiny Kills, has been finished, but as this book isn't yet contracted, I can't give you a release date.

Wolfsbane and Mistletoe, the anthology edited by Charlaine Harris and Toni L P Kelner, recently received its first review from Romantic Times--and got 4 stars. Which is pretty damn cool J. The book comes out in hardcover in October. I think the paperback will be released in 2009. It features my first ever Christmas story--and yes, it's completely new characters.

Shayla Black:

PARANORMAL ROMANCE

Currently, I am working on the second book in my new urban romance Doomsday Brethren series, SEDUCE ME IN SHADOW. This is a new style of writing for me. Still sexy, I promise. I hope you'll give them a chance and enjoy them. I'm having a blast writing them. The next two books in the series release October and November 2009, respectively.

EROTIC ROMANCE

Up next, the re-release of BOUND AND DETERMINED. To date, this remains one of my favorites. The writing of it was such a joy. I had a great time with Rafe and Kerry. If you missed out the first time, next March is just around the corner! Berkley will also be re-releasing STRIP SEARCH, and the date on that has been moved up from October to July! I'm hoping to have details about a cover soon!

Thank you so much for your many emails about Luc. I am tickled pink that you all loved him so, so much. Berkley will release DELICIOUS, Luc's story, in March 2010! A book about Hunter Edgington will follow that fall. More details to come as I receive them!

Shelley Bradley:

On September 30, Samhain will release THE LADY AND THE DRAGON. This will mark the first time the book has been in print since 1998! It's been slightly revised and is just a bit sexier than the original. I'm so excited to share my first published book with my recent readers. If you saw the electronic version of the book, there will be a new, more intriguing cover for the print edition. I'm hoping it's the one at the top of the newsletter, but it is subject to change. This book, unlike the original, is available for pre-order at Amazon now!

SHADES OF DARK, the new Science Fiction Romance story by Linnea Sinclair (http://www.linneasinclair.com), is among the Top Staff Picks for August at PNR (the ParaNormal Romance review site). Reviewer Leslie Tramposch's opinion?  "If you read one SF romance this year, make it SHADES OF DARK. And if you haven't yet read GABRIEL'S GHOST run, don't walk, to the nearest bookstore and read it first."

Join Linnea Sinclair (http://www.linneasinclair.com) for a discussion of Kick-Butt characters written by authors with a law-enforcement background (she was a PI for ten years) at the Romance Divas (http://www.romancedivas.com) on Friday and Saturday, September 12-13 (free registration required). Terri Brisbin is thrilled to announce that she has accepted an offer from Kensington Books to write 3 Scottish-historical-romances-with-a-touch-of-paranormal for their BRAVA imprint!!  THE GIFTED is based on an old Scottish folktale about a poor woman who catches a Sith and demands gifts for her three sons to make them wealthy, powerful and knowledgeable. Of course, there is always a price to pay and these GIFTs include a curse. . . each time the gift is used, her sons lose a bit of themselves. Strong, powerful men. Strong resourceful women. Enemies. Curses. Danger. Love. Redemption.  Beginning in December 2009! http://www.terribrisbin.com

Beth Williamson:

Leather & Lace releases September 30! This is the ever-so-fun anthology with Melissa Schroeder and Rebecca Goings. Melissa made a wonderful trailer for the book - you can view it on YouTube here and order from Amazon here.

WIP Me Baby

I finished The Redemption of Micah! This is the sequel to Madeline's book and my second Kensington Brava title. My editor has already read it and given me feedback. It's an intense, raw story that gave me goosebumps when I was writing it. Get ready y'all, it's going to make y'all cry, laugh and shout.

Next up is The Salvation of Sarah, the third in the Kensington Brava series. Also I'm writing a novella in between - can't keep myself anything but uber-busy!
