At the Grafton Department Store Christmas party things are about to get really hot for Home and Garden assistant manager Evie Strand when Adam Grant from Automotive opens his Christmas exchange gift. Evie accidentally grabbed and brought the wrong box, and Adam is now opening, for all to see, the gag gift she had made for her best friend – seven hand embroidered thongs, one for each day of the week. As Adam holds up Monday’s “Don’t Dribble” thong Evie’s embarrassment goes through the roof and she can’t wait for the party to be over. Though most of the people at the party think she did this on purpose to get the rake’s goat, Adam still feels sorry for her embarrassment and looks to make it up to her by taking her to dinner.  

The store’s ladies man doesn’t count on finding someone so earthy so likable. As they get through Christmas and he asks Evie to his beloved Classic Car Club New Year’s Eve Party the Casanova of the Grafton Department store may have finally met the woman of his dreams.   

What a fun, sexy, and humorous Christmas read A GIFT FOR ADAM is! I enjoyed the humor and the realness of the characters. Evie is such a down to earth likable heroine that I rooted for her to get the hot sexy guy from automotive. I could feel Evie’s embarrassment when Adam read the funny titles on the thongs, they were a hoot, “Tuesday: Wish you were…” written across the crotch, Wednesday’s thong: “Kiss My…” with a broken arrow pointing suggestively toward the backside; very funny. Even though Adam is known as a ladies man and rake he feels bad for Evie and tries to make it up to her. Adam doesn’t think at first that Evie is his type, but after the humorous thongs, a sexy hot first date where Evie’s not quite so shy, and spending some time with her he sees that they have a lot in common. He enjoys her company and the sex sizzles between the two. Can the store rake and the sweet home and garden manager find love? I recommend curling up in a nice comfy chair with a warm cup of hot chocolate this Christmas season and reading A Gift For Adam to find out!
