Jeresa Lynnwold hates her dead-end job at the local pharmacy and first aid clinic at the spaceport on Luma Six in the Zone. Working as a med tech she can barely pay her expenses from the miniscule credits she earns. Lonely and living in the slums with her two bio-engineered dogs she longs for more. She longs for the opportunity to finish her medical degree and not end up working for some spaceport drug lord. She also hungers for some good men. Captain Axel needs a med tech in order to stop the authorities on Luma from grounding and impounding his spaceship. The Captain and his men search the Zone for a new crewmate. Pinned by blaster fire in a Turf battle between two drug lords, and not wanting to be captured and forced to work for a drug lord, Jeresa accepts the spacers’ offer of a job and the chance to escape off-planet. For becoming crew, they will share with her the rewards for getting their cargo to its destination, and she gets to spend 6 long months in space with four sexy good men. A Viking look-alike that can cook, a hot black guy, a sexy dreadlocked mixed race guy, and the gorgeous Captain all wanting her attention. What is a woman to do except enjoy herself with all of them. Especially when they are treating her like a queen. However, space travel always manages to through in a few curves along the way. A crash landing on an asteroid and a gruesome discovery will change them all forever. THE ZONE is a wild & hot outer space read that I would recommend. Jaressa is a strong compassionate heroine who manages to find herself adored by her new crew. They give her their all and then some. The sex is hot and the story is well written. Be aware that all the men of the crew enjoy Jaressa as she enjoys them, and they all enjoy Serena, and she them, after her rescue. Group love abounds while the crew seeks riches and adventure in outer space.
