When the blurb for Beverly Rae’s new Aspen Mountain Press title, PARADISE ISLAND, landed in my email box, I thought it seemed a delightfully fun story.  Having now read it, I would say that only half describes this wonderful tale.  The author does a great job of balancing playful romance between Dan and Macy with the very serious issues they must overcome to find their way back to each other.

Infused with a touch of magic, PARADISE ISLAND whisks the reader off to a whimsical setting where anything can happen, an idyllic resort where our couple can focus on what’s important – each other – without worrying over the real world intruding on their unexpected time together.

During their short holiday, they each accept their own part in their break-up years earlier, and forgive one another, realizing nothing is as important in their lives as each other, a moral as valid for real life as it was for this magical romance.
