Centuries ago in his human life, the vampire Valentine lived a life of privilege
and good fortune, until fate destroyed his happiness in one fell stroke. Upon
the loss of his wife, he is lost until a gypsy woman delivers hope in the form
of a prophecy – that his love would one day return to him. I had
previously read the shorter version of NIGHT RHYTHM, but did not
hesitate to read it again when the expanded story released recently. I liked
the first version a lot, but in this case, more definitely proves itself
better! While it is still a short story, Ms. Teglia has definitely fleshed out
the romance between Valentine and Lisa more, and given their history together a
bit more depth.
