Ever since Magda Marks found the mysterious golden sphere while diving, strange things have been happening – none of them good! The ex who stole her research before is sniffing around again, her friends are being murdered, and some seriously scary men have attacked her. The only good thing that has happened recently is the appearance of the enigmatic Lorrick. No doubt he is the sexiest man she has ever laid eyes on, but that’s just it – he says he isn’t a man. No, he claims to be a Faerie Warrior come to retrieve the odd sphere… Lorrick knows better than to get involved with a human woman, although there is something about Magda that he just can’t seem to resist. But there were disastrous results the last time he trusted a human, and Lorrick is determined not to repeat that mistake! Jennie Andrus has a flair for creating captivating characters that are guaranteed to move even the most jaded reader. Including a smattering of humor with her dialogue keeps it even more natural, more real, and utterly enjoyable. Moving Atlantis is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I am even more pleased with this one than I was with the last, although both were wonderful! In the other story, The Last Prophecy, Andrus managed to make a shape shifting moose sexy, which is no small feat. With her hero in Moving Atlantis, that task was much easier, with Lorrick being cast as an ancient and powerful Faerie Warrior. Of course, even though he is a supernatural being, readers can count on the fact that he comes complete with some very human male fallacies perfect for contributing to the romantic tension between him and Magda. Magda is the perfect foil for Lorrick, somehow managing to turn his world upside down in a very short period of time, rendering it impossible for him not to love her. If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you know what a sucker I am for a good suspense with some decent twists. This book definitely satisfied me there! Jennie Andrus is definitely an author to keep an eye on. I expect her writing skills will grow even more with each new release, and I look forward to being along for the ride!
