Juliette
Lowell has worked hard to make her dating service, A PERFECT MATCH,
a success, and delights in matchmaking couples perfectly. There is nothing that
makes her happier than a pair of customers who have found true love and
happiness.
When reporter Mitch MacKinnon publishes an unfavorable review of her company,
she is livid, and demands reconsideration. Before they know it, they’ve made a
bet with each other that lands them both in her matchmaking database, committed
to at least one date each with their ‘match’.
Juliette is horrified when the results show her and Mitch to be each other’s
best match, but Mitch is more than delighted. He’s been attracted to the lovely
Juliette since the moment he saw her.
Juliette is attracted to Mitch too – that’s why she is so reluctant to go out
with him. Mitch is exactly the opposite of her ideal man, so whatever is
between them has no future… But explain that to her suddenly rampant libido!
If you
want to see the fun side of Shelley Bradley’s work, then A PERFECT MATCH
is a perfect example! Yes, Ms. Bradley does romantic angst very well, and I
adore those stories also, but she can also write some great stories that combine
fun with that angst, resulting in a story that combines heated sensuality with
playfulness.
Juliette is sweet and smart, with a tender heart and a lot of business sense.
She is truly a heroine to be admired. Of course, she is not without her faults,
as evidenced by her reluctance to consider any man that doesn’t exactly fit the
mold of her ideal man as a potential date, much less husband. That reluctance
is not exactly without cause, but watching her work through her issues as she
finds herself on the path to true love with the most unexpected of men makes for
a wonderful read!
Mitch is just a great guy. Yeah, he may have caused Juliette some issues with
that little article he wrote about her company, but he called it like he saw it,
and was as kind as he thought he could be with the article. He truly regrets
causing her any trouble or pain, but felt he had to protect his journalistic
integrity. That said, he makes up for the trouble by giving Juliette the chance
to show him how wrong he might have been. If it means he gets a little closer
to the lovely business owner in the meantime, so be it. LOL In the end, Mitch
proves he is the guy we all dream of – one who might make mistakes, but isn’t
afraid to admit it when he does and makes up for them.
A PERFECT MATCH is a wonderfully realistic romance that packs
plenty of heat and lots of heart!
