Liz Walker wants nothing to do with Hollywood, the movie industry, or anyone related to it.  But when her dojo is in financial trouble, and an offer to good to refuse falls in her lap, she accepts the movie deal in order to save the dojo.  Her job: to train the star of the movie in the martial arts to prepare for his role.

Evan Warren expects a frumpy, unattractive drill instructor when he learns his martial arts trainer will be a woman.  He is ill-prepared to find Liz Walker instead.  A drill instructor, yes, but she is decidedly neither frumpy nor unattractive.  Evan finds her irresistible, but she is determined to keep him at arm’s length, which proves harder and harder for her to do as he gradually wears down her resistance with kindness.  But when Liz’s secrets are unmasked, can Evan forgive her lives?

I tend to read a lot of romances that are in the fantasy, paranormal, and Sci-fi sub-genres.  Next to those, a contemporary tale can sometimes seem rather tame.  I assure you, there is nothing tame about Susan Greene’s contemporary romance STAR STRUCK!  This is only Greene’s second published novel, and both are written with the skill of an author who has many more publications under their belt.

Greene once again proves extremely adept with intricate plots containing several twists.  Pair the intricate plot with believable characters that are easy to both identify with and like, and you will find a story that is difficult to set down until finished.  Indeed, I found myself walking through the house reading STAR STRUCK so as not to tarry in finishing the story any long than I had to!  I will also confess to having stayed up much later than I should have to finish it, but I could never have slept until it ended!

If you enjoy strong heroines who can easily stand up to their leading men, and heroes who show their tender side without diminishing their strength by one iota, then you must read STAR STRUCK!
