Farmer Hake Stivers hurt himself pretty seriously months ago in an ATV accident.  Since that period of time, he has had to allow for his wounds to heal which in turn hasn’t allowed for him to make love to his wife Mandy like he wants to.  He knows that she has needs and as her husband, he wants to see them met. Formulating a plan, Hake asks his cousin Brent and Brent’s friend Joe to help him out.  They agree but question his reasoning and whether or not he is okay with them being with Mandy. He assures Brent that he has faith in doing exactly what Hake asks.  And what better way to assure this? Hake plans to sit and watch.

Mandy can’t seem to get Hake out of his depression.  She knows that the months he was laid up with his injuries took a toll on him both physically and mentally.  Hake has been concerned with meeting her needs sexually and while Mandy does miss their sex life, she just wants Hake healed and well once more.  When she goes downstairs and sees Brent tying Hake up Mandy is confused as to what is happening.  Her confusion turns to arousal when she sees the look in Hake’s eyes.  It seems her invalid husband has healed enough to plan the night of her life.

Sexual tension arouses the four as they come together in sexual abandon unlike anything they could have planned.  Before the night is over, Hake and Mandy will have let down their defenses and each will be sated like they haven’t in a very long time.  What happens when their night is over? Will their marriage be able to withstand every touch that they exchanged with Brent and Joe?

Who knew being a simple farmer and his wife could be so enlightening? I know I didn’t.  At first I was unsure I would like how the plot of CARNAL HARVEST seemed to be unfolding.  I kept reading and I was surprised not by the fact that Hake wanted his wife sexually satisfied, but he wanted to watch.  I was also a bit timid in that I was undecided as to whether or not I would enjoy reading the ménage after finding out how the storyline would include Brent’s friend.  Of course, that was before I ‘met’ Joe and let me tell you, he was one, bad, bad, farm boy.  Brent, Hake’s cousin was pretty kinky as well but in a playful sort of way.  Joe was downright nasty.  And I loved every single aspect of his character.  I found Mandy to be refreshing and while several times the plot alluded to the fact that she and Hake had been married 20 years and had a grown son, I did not see her as middle-aged.  She was a siren in an innocent sort of way and her love for Hake was evident.  My being a sucker for a man who loves his woman, Hake made my eyes cross from wishing I could be the one he loved instead of Mandy.  His control over his accident was nil but his control over his wife’s sexuality was heated and smoldering.

CARNAL HARVEST was carnal all right. It made me sweat. It made me tingle.  It made me unable to stop reading.  Having never read Robin L. Rotham before, I am definitely going to be placing her on my list of authors to watch in the near future if Carnal Harvest is any indication of her talent.  For a kinky, naughty, and sinfully delightful ménage, Carnal Harvest is the book to read!
