Alexis ‘Lexi’ Douglas has had enough.  For some unknown reason her soon-to-be ex-husband always seemed to have the upper hand during their divorce proceedings.  That was something that Lexi had a hard time dealing with especially when he was the one caught red-handed cheating on her with another woman.   

Well, enough was enough!   

Lexi had been raised to never use her witch powers for personal gain; but, the time had come to where men who used and abused women was about to end.  Lexi was about to unleash a spell that would rid the world of all no-good men. 

Cor Sielas, a Sleeper demon, had been awoken after a seven hundred and eighty year sleep period.  The powers-that-be whom he worked for wanted him to stop a very powerful witch from wrecking havoc against mankind.  But, instead of focusing solely on the assignment, all Cor could think about was seducing Lexi Douglas into bed.   

Will Cor be able to convince Lexi to abandon her harmful plan or will he have to use deadly force to stop her? 

I found A WOMAN SCORNED to be story that any woman could relate to.  After what Lexi had experienced firsthand and what she had gained through the hurtful events from other women were enough to make any person to seek vengeance.  Yet, on the flipside, Cor made valet points against Lexi’s arguments.  

My heart went out to Lexi.  I along with her couldn’t understand how someone as nasty as her ex-husband managed to maintain an upper hand against her.  However, when the reasoning finally came to light I was 100% behind Lexi’s wishes to get back at him.  I know that might sound harsh; but, once you dive into A WOMAN SCORNED you will understand. 

Cor was all male and just the perfect match for Lexi.  He had an act for managing Lexi’s outbursts with a firm, caring hand all while keeping her body caught up in the rapture of passion.  What a mighty good man! 

Although, A WOMAN SCORNED is book two in Ms. Foxx’s The Sleeper series, this story is a stand alone and be read independently.  But, I would advise grabbing a tall glass of cold water because you are going to need it once you experience Cor and Lexi’s scorching, hot loving.
