Kia Rutherford-Stanton’s ex-husband had struck a death-blow to their marriage when he tried to get her drunk and rape her with the help of a friend of his. He excused his actions with a membership in the club.  Kia escaped the attempted rape and demanded a divorce but her confidence to a friend has come back to haunt her when the friend gossips about the club and Kia’s experience, putting her reputation and even her life at risk. 

Several years later, Kia runs into Chase Falladay, the same man that saved her from her ex-husband’s attempted rape. Leaving with Chase and his friend, Khalid, she knows she’s putting herself in a position to receive only pleasure. But instead she finds herself in Chase’s arms and bed and can let go of her inhibitions to really be the sexy woman she’s always been inside. 

When love intervenes, how can Kia and Chase keep their agreement to a relationship for only pleasure? 

ONLY PLEASURE is the tenth book in Lora Leigh’s BOUND HEARTS series and gives us some insight into a character long discussed and blamed in previous books for exposing the Club to the outside world. But Kia isn’t what I thought at all! 

This story was interesting to me in many ways. Not only did it have the intense and hot sex I’m used to with this series but I got a great deal of insight into some of the characters we’ve glimpsed in other stories.  

ONLY PLEASURE doesn’t skimp on the intense emotions, either. Kia seems a bit wimpy at the start but she quickly developed one heck of a spine and blossomed. Chase has been almost too heroic by sitting in the background and waiting for Kia but it really was part of his charm. 

The revelations at the end were a great twist on the series, as well. One warning, however, I don’t think this story would work well as a stand-alone story. I advise readers to read at least a few of the preceding books in the Bound Hearts series before tackling this one—your enjoyment will be a lot greater if you know the history of the characters involved. 

Though not my absolute favorite of the BOUND HEARTS series, ONLY PLEASURE is right near the top! Don’t miss this terrific installment from one of my favorite authors!
